Over the years, I’ve watched the world of weight loss change dramatically. From points to calories, meal replacements to apps, and now GLP-1 medications, there always seems to be something new to talk about.
And if I’m completely honest, when GLP-1 medications first became such a big part of the conversation, I wasn’t sure where I fitted into it.
But then I started listening.
I realised that the people taking GLP-1 medication were often looking for something that went beyond the medication itself. They wanted support with the practical side of losing weight, but also with the things that can be much harder to measure: mindset, confidence, food choices, movement, habits and what happens when life gets in the way.
And that’s where I felt I could help.
I’ve spent years supporting people with weight loss and, more importantly, with the ups and downs that come with trying to change your lifestyle. I know that losing weight isn’t simply about knowing what to eat. If it were, we’d all have it cracked by now.
GLP-1 medication can be an incredibly useful tool for some people, but it isn’t a magic wand. There are still habits to build, choices to make and a life to live.
That’s why I decided to create GLP-1 Lifestyle Support.
It isn’t about telling you what medication you should take, changing your dose or giving medical advice. Those questions belong with your prescriber or healthcare professional.
My role is different.
I want to create a welcoming space where people taking, or who have previously taken, GLP-1 medication can come together, talk honestly, learn practical strategies and support one another.
We’ll talk about nutrition, protein, movement, mindset, hydration, eating habits, emotional eating, confidence and, importantly, how to build a lifestyle that can continue alongside and beyond medication.
Because ultimately, this isn’t just about losing weight.
It’s about learning how to look after yourself.
And perhaps most importantly, doing it without judgement, without perfection and without feeling that you have to figure it all out on your own.
I’m really excited to open this new chapter and to bring together a community where we can learn, laugh, ask questions and support each other.
Because there’s one thing I’ve learnt from all my years of helping people with weight loss: the scales might tell you what you weigh, but they don’t tell the whole story.
And sometimes, a little support makes all the difference.
